The Migration WA Portal (the Portal) is a one-stop shop, offering front door access to a centralised range of migration initiatives, to:
- connect and support skilled migrants and their families to settle and work in Western Australia; and
- support local industry and employers looking to build their workforce through skilled migration.
As part of the State Government’s response to skills demand, the Portal is helping employers connect with migrants who want to join the workforce and build a life in Western Australia.

Migration WA Portal - 2025 updates
The Portal has been upgraded to include:
- State Nomination Migration Program (SNMP) applications;
- applications for Regional Certification Body (RCB) advice; and
- a new profile for Migration Agencies, providing the ability to link their agents, so they can view and assist with agency applications (branch specific).
When accessing the portal for the first time, please select the account type that aligns with your use.
Migrant: provides migrants with access to employment opportunities via the Skilled Migrant Employment Register, enables completion of a State Nominated Migration Program application upon invitation, and supports participation in the Skilled Migrant Job Connect program. It also facilitates arrival registration for nominated skilled migrants.
Employer: allows employers to create entries in the Skilled Migrant Employment Register, submit and edit WA Designated Area Migration Agreement applications, and request Regional Certifying Body advice.
Migration Agent: enables agents to complete and submit State Nominated Migration Program applications after invitation, submit Regional Certifying Body advice and, complete and edit WA Designated Area Migration Agreement applications after receiving a unique link from Migration Services. Agents linked to an Agency also have access to view and edit applications associated with that Agency. It is through this account type that Migration Agents will process, modify, and submit applications.
Agents must use their personal business email address to register, not a shared or generic account.
Migration Agency: enables each branch of a Migration Agency to link specific agents with the agency. Agents who are linked to an agency will be able to view and assist in applications being processed by the Agency. Please note that the Agency Profile does not have the capability to submit or modify applications.

1 Employers must first register with SMER, obtain their JCE number before applying for the WA DAMA. DAMA applications must be created by Employers.
2 Migration Agents can complete DAMA applications on behalf of employers via a unique link after the employer starts the application and submits their details.

Skilled Migrant Employment Register
To get people into jobs faster, the Skilled Migrant Employment Register offers an automated job matching function which makes suitable employer matches sooner, and allows:
- migrants to promote their desired employment occupation/s, location, skills, and experience to employers with current WA vacancies; and
- employers to register WA job vacancies so they can easily connect with registered migrants who match their vacancy needs.

Skilled Migrant Job Connect Subsidy Program
Established to remove barriers and connect migrants to employment in WA, the Skilled Migrant Job Connect Subsidy program (the Subsidy) is the second service available through the Portal.
The Subsidy aims to remove barriers by providing reimbursements of up to $10,000 to offset these costs so that onshore migrants can gain employment in WA in an occupation that aligns with their overseas qualifications, skills, and experience.
