State Nominated Migration Program

Following successful negotiations with the Commonwealth Government Department of Home Affairs (Home Affairs), Western Australia will be allocated 5,000 state nominated migration places for the 2024-25 program year.

Invitation rounds for State nomination for the 2024-25 program year will begin once the Western Australian Government formally receives its allocation from Home Affairs.

Skilled Migrant Job Connect Subsidy program now available in the Migration WA Portal

The Skilled Migrant Job Connect Subsidy program (the Subsidy) is the second service available through the State Government’s newly launched Migration WA Portal. 

The Migration WA Portal allows migrants to submit a Subsidy registration, claim request, and supporting documents at a convenient save-as-you-go pace, through easy-to-follow prompts.

The Skilled Migration Job Connect Program is continuing to support newly arrived skilled migrants into Western Australia’s workforce and community with specialist settlement services extended to regional locations.

Closure of the WA State Nominated Migration Program applications for 2023-24

The number of WA applications received under the State Nominated Migration Program (SNMP) has now exceeded the available allocations for the 2023-24 program year.
WA Migration Services will stop accepting new SNMP applications from close of business on 2 February 2024.
